Bengaluru, Jun 15: With regards to the second phase unlocking process in the state, chief minister (CM) B S Yediyurappa on Wednesday June 16, “We will assess the situation on June 15 and 16 and take a decision. As the Covid second wave cases are declining, we will decide on second phase unlocking.

“We will also look into the activities which will be relaxed in the second phase. Right now, the aim of the government is to bring down the number of cases. Depending upon the improvement in the situation we will give relaxation to other sectors,” he said.

Giving statement on the issue that one more central leader has to accompany Arun Singh during his visit, CM Yediyurappa said, “Arun Singh is our state in-charge. He will arrive in the state on Wednesday June 16. He will hold discussion with all MLAs and MPs. We do not have any confusion or difference of opinion among us. Anyone can meet him. He will be in the guest house and take all the information on all matters. There is no confusion with regards to change in leadership. I will also cooperate with him to the fullest extent.

“One or two people might have some issue with state BJP leadership. Arun Singh will speak to them personally. All of us are united,” he said.

We all know that cases are not decreased. We can see the infected people around us every day . You people are bowing your head because of pressure from industrialists. Please note not even 5% of the people in our city are vaccinated. You can unlock completely once all get their 1st dose atleast. Hence requesting you to concentrate more on how to provide the vaccine than kneeling down for someone's pressure.

Will you provide income to the people? If not, then don't talk about continuing the lockdown when these industrialists can at least pay salaries for work to the already distraught public.

While a unlock would be in best economic interests- TOO MUCH DISTRESS has been endured _-- HOPE HOWEVER ---maximum publicity given for COVID appropriate behavior / massive vaccination - the virus mutating ( NEW AVATAR ) every 11 days into more dangerous variants as it has to survive and beat the efficacy of vaccines- A VERY BIG CHALLENGE --

Power struggle within state BJP, so unlocking might take a backstage. Only aim of this party is to pull everyone's chair.
