Bengaluru, Jun 14: Karnataka on Monday, June 14 saw a decline in the number of new coronavirus cases, with the state recording 6,835 new infections, the lowest recorded number since the second wave of coronavirus.
As per the bulletin released by the state health department, the active cases in the state stand at 1,72,141. Bengaluru Urban's single-day tally has come down to 1,470 new cases.
As many as 120 deaths due to coronavirus were reported in the state on Monday, with Bengaluru Urban recording 12. With this, the toll so far has risen to 33,033.
The state recorded 15,409 discharges from hospitals, taking the total discharges so far to 25,66,774.
So far, Karnataka has seen 27,71,969 positive cases since the start of the pandemic in March 2020.
The positivity rate for the day has dropped to 4.56%, while the case fatality rate for the day is 1.75%.
As many as 17,114,728 people have received vaccination so far.
