Bantwal, Jun 14: A case of sexual assault is registered at the town police station here by a young woman who has accused her own uncle of repeatedly having physical intimacy on her under threat.

The girl college student has accused Purushotham, who is a close relative (husband of her mother’s younger sister) of the girl, of repeatedly assaulting her sexually by force and threatening to kill if she did not heed to his demand. In addition, accused Purushotham is also said to have threatened the girl of killing her family members if she informs the same to them.

The victim, attends college at B C Road. She is living at her relative’s house for the past one year and used to go to college from there. Accused Purushotham also used to live in the same house. From that time itself, Purushotham was forcefully assaulting the victim sexually.

The victim has filed a police complaint now as she could not tolerate his torture anymore.
