Kasargod: Missing lady was living 500 metres away from parents for long

Daijiworld Media Network - Kasargod (SP)

Kasargod, Jun 11: The parents who made all out efforts to find their missing daughter who was 18 when she disappeared, have now found to their surprise that she was living hardly 500 metres away from them. The lady spent 11 years in a dark room without being detected by the parents.

The policemen too were taken aback when they found that the woman who eloped with a man from another religion succeeded to lead an anonymous life.

This incident happened in Ayalur village in Palakkad. A lady, Sajitha, eloped with Rehman, her neighbour, who is a painter by profession, after falling in love with him. As the lovers felt that they would be in danger if this love between people of different religions came out, Sajitha secretly left her home in 2010. After her parents filed a missing complaint, the police searched for her but failed to get any trace or information. The family members felt that she would have gone to Tamil Nadu.

Sajitha spent all her years in a dark room. She used to wash the clothes inside and hanged them to dry inside the room. She never came out of her room. At night, she used to come out of the house by using the space created by her husband by bending the iron rods of a window to attend to nature's call. She had a small television set which was the only contact with the outside world. She ate whatever Rehman brought for her.

Rehman did not allow anyone to come into his room. He became angry and shouted if even his own family members tried to enter the room. His brother, Basheer, was surprised about his behaviour. He used to tell others that Rehman was behaving like an insane person.

Parents in the meanwhile, had brought pressure on Rehman to marry but he had not agreed. He did not tell them about his lover. Recently, Sajitha had come out of her room and visited a neighbouring village duly followed by Rehman. Someone tipped the police who took both into custody and produced in the court. As both of them wanted to marry and live together, the court permitted them to do so.

After living away from parents from 11 years for love, what is her religion now? Will she be allowed to continue the religion of love or she will have to forcefully convert to a religion that until recently managed matrimony with TTT?

if a person lives in dark room without sunlight for 11 years.... he / she will develop acutely severe vitamin D shortage, resulting in calcium shortage in the body... this will cause many serious health complications for the person... unless this man Rehman is a doctor / dietician who has provided Sajita every day with food filled with calcium... Overall there is gaping hole in the 'story'...

I feel very sad for Sajitha. This is the clear result of religious intolerance and fear created by our country Politicians to achieve their selfish dreams.

How this is possible 11 years inside room and nobody at house don't know. Even if lizard falls doon vessels we could hear. Whether she was watching TV with headphone ?. It's not possible. 3 days or 5 days can be managed inside house. But 11 years it's not possible. If underground is there it's possible.

Parents of girl might suffered a lot and spent there life in distress. Person who bought her like parrot from market caged her for so many years in dark room without notice of others. Looks like here both are suffering from mental problem. One of heinous crime on woman.
