Udupi, Jun 11: Three persons including the wife and only son of entrepreneur, Bhaskar Shetty, have been sentenced for life, holding them responsible for Shetty's murder. Now, many have started evincing interest about who will inherit his properties in India and abroad.

On July 15, 2016, about two weeks before he was eliminated, Bhaskar Shetty had executed a will pertaining to his properties. This is listed as one of the documents submitted to the court in the murder case and advocate Vinay Acharya, who prepared the will and signed as witness, had adduced evidence in the court about the genuineness of the document. In the will, Shetty says that his wife had illicit relationship with another man, and on this issue his wife and son had physically assaulted him. He said he was planning to go abroad in August, and as he apprehended danger for his life from his wife and won and also as his wife and son together could plan to usurp his properties, he had planned to leave behind a will.

Bhaskar Shetty through the will, has bequeathed all his fixed and movable properties, rent he received from commercial buildings, money in the bank, insurance policy amounts etc in favour of his mother Gulabi Shedthi, duly stating that no one else will have any rights or relationships on these things. "If my mother dies before me, after my demise, the properties should be distributed at the rate of ten percent each to my three sisters, and the remaining properties should be shared among the three brothers. My wife, Rajeshwari and son, Nanveet, will not have no rights over the properties," the will states.

Shetty also mentioned that his brothers, Surendra, Suresh and Ashok Shetty, who were looking after the business abroad, will inherit rights on the six malls he owns abroad.

As per reports, Bhaskar Shetty has 26 cents land along with commercial building at Shiribeedu, 26 cents commercial building on mosque road, 210 sq ft commercial shop in Baliga Towers, and 4.500 sq ft residential house at Indrali.

Rajeshwari Shetty has already approached the court claiming rights on the properties, and hearing is in progress.
