Rest in Peace Pushpa. To all, Suicide is not a solution, it is a failure. Successful are those who resolve the issue. Any issue can be resolved by positive thinking and discussing with family and friends.

Francis Martis ,Barkur /USA,May her soul rest in peace.Back to her depression ,when she had made many attempts of suicide, then it was the duty of her relatives to take her out of this apartment and keep her elsewhere where she could live without much danger. One doesnt think of Positive thinking when sick is.Causes may be many.Mostly some women get depressed when they reach their menopause .Lot of people are day by day getting depressive.may be due to lot of pressure at work load, home problems? One never know.hardly people get back to life ,only if they have someone supports in their daily life.Heartfelt sympathy to her family.Due to corona this depression has increased.

Norman Rego, Moodbidri Depressed person is totally different than mentally retarded person. Hence, they wisely choose their suicide. If the person in question is mentally retarded, I agree with you. But the case is otherwise. Hence, you have to change your view.

Corona killed everyones happiness. God only can save us. Please take care of your health first. Do regular steam and drink Kashaya and maintain your Vitamin C & D. Walk and stand under the sun regularly. Then corona cannot attack anyone and it will go very soon. 7 times breath in and 7 times breath out and 8th time cough. It is very good exercise for the lungs. Also one boiled egg per day. I wish this country and the world will be free of corona very soon and our economy will come back and everyone will be happy and prosper and at the end do good for others.

Being in Depression is like getting stuck in a Whirlwind. Some people are able to come out of depression either through their strong will, counselling or sometimes with help from family. Sadly some just want to end their never ending pain. In today's world, we don't know what people are going through mentally & emotionally. Earlier people used to talk about their struggles to family & friends, but now talking about your problems is considered a weakness & gives everyone a reason to gossip.

If there is a message at the bottom suggesting people not to take such steps would be really meaningful. Also helpline numbers for counselling of people under distress would be really good in terms of social concerns.

when people are stuck at home and there is no proper source of income depression sets in and people contemplate this. this lockdown also has made people crazy . it may be for good, but it ended destroying many livelihoods. therefore a planned lockdown was required. sudden, no warning, then releasing the cops everywhere created issues. people were starving in the 1st phase. I donno now. If this were normal times, i do not think the woman would have taken the step, as she would be busy in something o the other.

Depends .... if she ever spoke out her grievance with her near and dear ones. Some like to be introvert, instead of extrovert. This is the root issue driving people to the edge AND if anybody had the time to pay heed to her problems....if she indeed expressed herself, clear and loud....to the concerned. If so what was the impact. Unfortunately, in 9 out of 10 cases, both these factors are missing in today's world. Mostly every second person is preoccupied with their own worries and absorbed in their own thoughts. The world has become selfish.
