Bengaluru, Jun 8: Monsoon has entered the state four days ago and many parts are receiving good rains. From June 8 till 11, the state will receive copious amounts of rains as per the meteorological department.
Coastal districts of Dakshina Kannada, Udupi and Uttara Kannada will receive moderate rains on June 8 and 9. However, the rain will intensify on June 10 and 11. Yellow alert is declared in coastal districts on June 8. Most of the northern interior and southern interior parts of the state will receive heavy rains on June 8.

Farmers have started the agriculture activities as the monsoon has arrived. Monsoon has entered the state of Kerala on June 3 due to which widespread rain is pouring in Malnad and coastal regions of Karnataka. Yellow alert is also declared in the districts of Shivamogga, Chikkamagaluru, Kodagu, Hassan, Bidar, Gadag, Bengaluru city, Kalaburagi, Bengaluru rural, Chitradurga, Kolar, Tumour, Koppala and Davanagere.
Heavy rains are lashing Kerala, Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh and coastal Andhra Pradesh. According to meteorologists rain will continue till September. This year the rain will be from moderate to heavy as per the experts.
Dharwad, Belagavi, Gadag, Udupi, Dakshina Kannada and Uttara Kannada district will receive heavy rains on June 8. Shivamogga, Hassan, Kodagu, Kolar, Chamarajanagar, Vijayapura, Raichur, Koppala, Kalaburagi, Bidar and Chikkamagaluru will receive moderate rains.
Due to the onset of monsoon, water is flowing in huge quantities to the reservoirs. Rivers are flowing to the brim. As yellow alert is declared in coastal districts, fishermen are warned not to venture into the sea.
