Now petrol cost has overtaken Rs 100 mark, giving rise to worry in the minds of the common people. At several places in the state, petrol price per litre has already shot to beyond Rs 100.
Petrol price per litre is over Rs 100 in Ballari, Uttara Kannada and Chikkamagaluru districts. Price of one litre petrol in Sirsi, Uttara Kannada, is Rs 100.22.The same costs Rs 100.08 in Ballari and Rs 100.06 in Chikkamagaluru. A litre of XP petrol costs Rs 103.56 in Ballari.
The chances of petrol prices overtaking the mark of Rs 100 per litre in other places in the state are high. This most likely will result in a hike in prices of certain other commodities. People who already are suffering during lockdown because of no earnings and rising cost of essentials, are sure to be hit further.
