Bengaluru, Jun 4: Karnataka on Friday, June 4 registered 16,068 new coronavirus cases.
As per the bulletin released by the state health department, the active cases in the state stand at 26,69,514. Bengaluru Urban's single-day tally has come down to 3,221 new cases.
As many as 364 deaths due to coronavirus were reported in the state on Friday, with Bengaluru Urban alone recording 206 deaths and Ballari 8. With this, the death toll so far has risen to 30,895.
The state recorded 22,316 discharges from hospitals, taking the total discharges so far to 23,58,412.
So far, Karnataka has seen 26,69,514 positive cases since the start of the pandemic in March 2020.
The positivity rate for the day stands at 10.66%, while the case fatality rate for the day is 2.26%.
As many as 1,46,42,946 people have received vaccination so far.
