Mysuru, Jun 2: The coronavirus pandemic has put normal life out of gear of people of all strata of society. If some are finding it difficult to have one square meal a day, a retired officer of the city has come up with a bizarre issue.
K S Narasimha Murthy, retired officer of judicial department, has written a letter to chief minister (CM) B S Yediyurappa in which he says that he has only two pairs of innerwear which are torn now. At least get the clothes shops open once a week and resolve his issue.

In the letter written to the CM, Narasimha Murthy of Chamarajapuram in the city says, “Honourable chief minister, my demand may look strange and bizarre to you. But you have to see the situation. All indications are there that the present lockdown is going to continue. Government and district administration have to look into the needs of public. Though the government has allowed all the shops to open since the last two months, for some strange reason the cloth stores are not given permission to open their shutters. Have you seen what problems the commoners are facing due to non-opening of cloth shops? Vests and briefs of people like me, who manage life with two pairs of inner wears, are getting torn. The story of women and girls also might be the same. With whom should we appraise our issue?
“If you know the feelings of the general public that is more than enough. Permit to open the cloth shops at least once a week and resolve the issue of people like me. The government, which thinks of the belly of public should give attention towards the cloth also,” he stated in the letter.
