Mangaluru, Jun 1: “Congress leaders are creating chaos in Covid vaccine distribution centers and thereby causing confusion in the minds of public in order to gain political mileage. This attempt of the Congress party is creating issues to the general public,” said MLA Vedavyasa Kamath.
He further said, “Instead of instilling confidence in public during the difficult times of Covid pandemic, they (Congress) are trying to gain political mileage. Congress leaders are doing false propaganda on social sites about the availability of vaccine in vaccination centres in order for people to crowd at the vaccination centres. In addition, they are trying to gain political advantage by holding flex near the vaccination centres.
“All have to work unitedly in order to bring Covid under control. If the Congress leaders have any suggestions, let them convey the same to the district administration. Instead of doing that, it is not right to pass time in giving political statements.
“Only on the previous day of vaccination, confirmation on the arrival of vaccination is received by the district administration. For the same reason, information is given to public about the same in newspaper. Officials are nominated by the district administration to give tokens. Due to the false propaganda of the Congress party, people are standing in queue at 3 am and waiting. Public should not believe in false propaganda and arrive at the vaccination centers on the day the vaccine is available,” he said.
