Mangaluru, May 29: With continuous rainfall all through the night and morning, people in several parts of the city on Saturday May 29, woke up to severe waterlogging. The situation was worse at Pumpwell junction.
The district witnessed good rain which led to waterlogging in several places. Many roads were submerged with rain water thereby causing inconvenience to motorists and pedestrians.
The service roads beneath Pumpwell flyover witnessed chronic waterlogging. The vehicular movement in the region has turned pathetic as people coming to buy essentials to Mangaluru from 6 am to 10 am were seen struggling to move in their respective vehicles.
A commuter on condition of anonymity said, “A few hours of rains inundating several roads shows the shabby work of the concerned authorities.”
