May 28: Dakshina Kannada reports 799 new corona cases, 766 in Udupi; 9 deaths in twin districts

Mangaluru/Udupi, May 28: As per the Dakshina Kannada health bulletin the district reported 799 fresh coronavirus cases on Friday. While the total number of positive cases has risen to 73,898. This further has raised the number of active cases to 9,003.

A total of 8,41,914 samples have been tested. Out of which 7,68,016 are negative.

As many as 745 people were discharged on Friday, A total of 894 deaths have occurred so far, including 5 on Friday.

A total of Rs 59,56,217 in fines have been collected so far, for 59,417 mask violations in the district.

Udupi

The coronavirus tally in the district has risen to 56,872 including 766 fresh cases on Friday. Out of these, 5,942 cases are currently active.

Over 5,82,738 samples have been tested so far.

As many as 835 patients were discharged on Friday. A total of 322 deaths have occurred so far, including four on Friday.
