Mangalore, Aug 21: State Chief Minister (CM), B S Yeddyurappa, will be taking part in various programmes being held in Dakshina Kannada district on Monday August 23.
After arriving at the local airport at 8.35 am, he will lay the foundation stone for the proposed district theatre complex at Bondel at 8.45 pm. At 9.30 am, he will lay the foundations stone for the synthetic track that will be laid at Mangala Stadium in the city. At 9.45 am, he will hand over houses built at Urwa Market for the beneficiaries belonging to scheduled castes and tribes, and then lay foundation stone for the ropeway bridge at Sultan Battery.
The other programmes he is set to take part are, laying of foundation stone for the construction of government first grade college at Car Street (10.35 am), laying foundation stone for police commissionerate building (11 am), laying foundation stone for Mescom sub-station and 33 kv underground cable network at Kadri, meeting the mentally challenged children and public meeting at Town Hall at 11.30 am, and meeting of the party activists at Circuit House at 1 pm.
In the afternoon, he will inaugurate the Vamadapadavu community health centre at 3.15 pm, and inaugurate the trauma centre at the taluk hospital, fire brigade station, divisional office of Mescom etc., at Bantwal at 4 pm. In the evening, he will participate in a public programme is being organized at Manjunatha Hall in Bantwal.
At 5.45 pm, the CM will visit Polali Sri Rajarajeshwari Temple, and leave for the airport at 6.10 pm.
