Mangaluru, May 28: A complaint has been filed in Konaje police station here against the organizers of a Mehendi function. They have been accused of violating covid19 rules.
Shobha from Pavoor had obtained conditional permission from the panchayat relating to the marriage of Koushalya, which was arranged on May 20. Pavoor panchayat development officer Sudharani, said in her complaint that Mehendi programme was held on the night of May 19 without permission, and that loudspeakers were used for the function.
She also alleged that social distance was not maintained and people danced around without wearing masks, and that Covid guidelines were also violated at the function.
Konaje police have registered case under the Karnataka Epidemic Diseases Act and Karnataka Police Act.
