Mangaluru/Udupi, May 25: As per the Dakshina Kannada health bulletin the district reported 755 fresh coronavirus cases on Tuesday. The rise in the number of new cases has pushed the total number of positive cases to 71,815. This further has raised the number of active cases to 10,137.

A total of 8,32,828 samples have been tested. Out of which 7,61,013 are negative.

As many as 933 people were discharged on Tuesday, A total of 873 deaths have occurred so far, including ten on Monday.

A total of Rs 59,17,030 in fines have been collected so far, for 56,671 mask violations in the district.

Udupi

The coronavirus tally in the district has risen to 54,228 including 640 fresh cases on Tuesday. Out of these, 5,792 cases are currently active.

Over 5,72,105 samples have been tested so far.

As many as 695 patients were discharged on Tuesday. A total of 310 deaths have occurred so far, including four on Tuesday.
