Good initiative by the state government. In the middle of this worst Pandemic, we have got a great opportunity to upgrade all our hospitals with technology & should be self reliant. Nobody imagined even in dreams that Corona will hit us so hard, atleast good to see something better going on in Medical field. Education & Medical should be made free for all.

Oxygen plants are being set up in hordes. As per the news item government is seeking to set up 1100 pressure swing adsorption plants by July. Further liquid oxygen supply has shot up from 900 mt per day to 9300 Mt, more than 10 fold jump. Do we need this much oxygen? What will happen to these pressure swing plants once covid subsides? In all likelihood, the switchover valves will malfunction and unit will stop producing oxygen and will rust as there will not be any demand for oxygen. Most of these plants are set up by Public sector companies under duress. Nothing but knee jerk reaction. The money will go waste. See these things unfolding after a year.

Thanks to the British before transferring power, they set up committees to start these institutions, only good thing done by British in India, other than laying down railway lines.
