Mangaluru, May 24: Raveendranath Shetty (44), a teacher with multiple talents serving Canara High School Urva in the city breathed his last on Sunday May 23 due to heart attack.
Shetty, who was very popular among his students, was from Bakrabail village. He was serving Canara High School group for the last about two decades. He held MA and MPhil degrees and was also the National Cadet Corps (NCC) officer of the high school. For his achievement in the field of NCC, he had won several awards.
Shetty was an amateur Yakshagana and theatre artiste. He also had earned popularity being a host for public programmes.

Shetty is survived by wife Divya, a three-year-old child and hundreds of fans, followers and relatives. Canara High School management, headmasters, teaching staff and students have shed tears of farewell to this great soul. He had won the hearts of his students, and therefore it is an immense loss to them.
