Daijiworld Media Network – Mangaluru

Mangaluru, May 22: Another disturbing incident of animal abuse was reported from Mary Hill in the city. Kavoor police, taking quick action arrested the accused.

The accused has been identified as Eraiah from Gulbarga. He is working at a doctor’s house at Konchady as a gardener. The dog had reportedly chewed his footwear and hence in anger, he tied the dog to his bike and dragged him from Konchady to Mary Hill for two kilometres.

He spared the dog when he saw its paws bleeding. It is said that the dog is alive.

Police booked a case under Prevention of Cruelty against Animals and also under Epidemic Diseases Act as the accused were found wandering for non-essential purposes.

The CCTV footage of the disturbing incident had gone viral on social media.

Animal Care Trust’s volunteers and staff are trying to locate the dog but without luck. The dog was bleeding from the paws and needed immediate medical attention. They have requested the public to call them on 9845255777 or 900040497 if the dog is located.

Vicky, I saw your comment about human waste.. anyway, I am following all of your comments. Are you paid to comment for the sake of comment?? We are supposed to use our brain cells when we think and comment. Anybody can Google and write here big story, like what was the value of Indian Rupees during Independence. You only get a part of the story in internet. Since 2014, you don't know whom to believe anyway, I know whom you believe, that was never a problem for you but for us, the rest of the public (excluding bhakths), we have to clarify every news before we comment on it. We do not just watch Republic TV alone. I personally watch BBC, CNN, ABC and SBS, Read Indian Express and some other news Papers. You will never get unbiased news from one source these days because news reports are there to dramatise everything (do you remember the guy, the nation want to know). Please use your head ( I know since 2014, cow dung became very cheap) before you comment. Don't harbour too much hatred or you might end up in Kailaash with the Dongi Swamy.

Most of these acts are committed by north Karnataka people who have a very bad taste for animals just like Spanish & Chinese who have world record on animal abuse. A water boarding treatment for this monster is a life time vaccine & never he gonna touch a animal or human.

Arrest and do what ? They should let him go after conducting an awareness session with him .. Poor people are suffering as such because of Covid and its lock down affects .. Cops do not show off with poor people .. Animals too are not angels ..I know many dogs attack humans when they are in a majority . The Dog should be sent to an Animal lovers home

Out of 100 dogs, 99 dogs wag their tails to human. If one dog bite, human ends up all 100 dogs. Out of 100 humans, 99 throw stones at dogs. If one human feeds them, the dog will again trust the 100 humans.

Some people comment here as if they have not even killed an ant in their entire life. Even if u claim u r a vegitarian then be sure that the milk the cow produces is for its own calf not for u and the fruits and vegitables the plants produce for its own purpose. Every humanbieng is abusing the nature / animals/ fish and his own fellow bieng in his own way. Instead of throwing stones on others start planting trees for next generation.

Janette...Human waste reused as food by astronuts. Danish people use human waste to produce beer. Toilet to Tap..new concept developed in european countries..where in human waste used for irrigation, residental and industrial units. In middle east due to scarcity of water much recycled once again to use or pump water for roadside trees...like of Dates..kajoor. Latter on people like Sameer, Javed click photographs eating same kajoor alongwith minting crypto currencies. Wah Aavestna .Unko bolega Cow Urine is best..never listen.

Here the news is about exhibiting cruelty and torturing an animal. Yes, some animals or birds are killed for meat. These are killed instantly causing minimum pain and torture. In this case the culprit has deliberately tortured the poor dog leaving to suffer for the rest of its life, which is a criminal act and the culprit deserves apt punishment.

Nice thought Ma'am. There is a difference between USE and ABUSE and ABUSE is simply not acceptable. Take cows milk for eg. A cow produces sufficient milk which can feed not only the calf but also can be used for human consumption. Yes it's an abuse if the calf is deprived of its mothers milk but assuming you're a woman, you would know how the milk production works. Mammary glands produce milk as per demand, for eg, a mother can produce milk to feed one new born or multiple. As the demand increases the production increase, but yes if one starts abusing this then its unacceptable. There's a thin line here. At least in ancient India we used to follow the right practice, where we treat cow as our mother, one whose milk we drink after we stop drinking mothers milk. It slowly changed with the western influence where the calf is dragged away from its mother and sent to slaughter house as soon as the delivery happens. Imagine the e plight of the mother. I sometimes wish slaughter house were made of glass walls so PEOPLE COULD SEE THE ENTIRE PROCESS OF SLAUGHTER so they know what they have paid for, A PLAIN COLD BLOODED MURDER. I'll leave you with this - One life is food to another life and the life one chooses to end to survive defines him.

This indicates the immigrants are really comfortable here and have no fear of doing such things. If not un-checked they may proceed to do goondagiri and tie the locals to their bikes in place of dogs.

And then everyone went home, slaughtered the rooster and made chicken biryani to celebrate the justice served. Raising poultry in farms where these birds have little space to move and forced spend their entire life on the faeces just to be eaten one day is ok per these intellectuals. Same with mutton. This compassion is artificial. They cannot eat dog so the drama. Of course I condemn this act of cruelty but this selective compassion is just is sickening. People should look themselves in the mirror and see the hypocrite they truly are.

Its true..Animal lover, Dubai. If opportunity strikes they wont hestiate to kill and have meat of even Hippopotamus or Rhinoceras. As its big..are much happier with same like younger animals which was killed in an cruel manner..upside down. Here in this forum 80% people are two-faced..claiming themselves as superior same like saints...which is not in the eyes of god.
