Udupi, May 22: In a shockingly risky attempt, a social worker shifted a Covid19 positive patient from Udupi to Karwar without wearing a Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) kit. Ansar Ahmed is the social worker who took this risk just to save the patient who was stressed out after learning that he had tested corona-positive.

The 25-year-old patient was admitted to a private hospital in Udupi for Cancer treatment. He had tested corona-positive in the hospital. After testing positive, he was totally anxious. He also started claiming that corona-patients’ kidney will be stolen and insisted that he wants to go home. At 12:30 pm, Ansar, Pramodh Ucchil and Karthik, with the help of hospital staff, shifted him to an ambulance to drop him to Karwar, his hometown.

But within five minutes of leaving the hospital premises, the patient escaped from the moving ambulance and the ambulance driver was helpless. Social workers rushed to the spot and succeeded in bringing him to a center in Udupi where the district administration has made arrangements for stay of homeless. He was kept in isolation for a night therein.

On Friday May 20, Ansar decided to drop the patient to Karwar in his own ambulance. He wore a PPE kit and took all the necessary precautions. But seeing Ansar in a PPE kit, the patient again refused to go with him and complained that they have come to remove his kidney.

In the end, Ansar took the risk of driving the ambulance just by wearing a mask. He successfully drove the ambulance till Karwar and admitted the patient at Karwar government Covid hospital.

This may look heroic to some but Ansar is taking risk not only for himself but also to his whole family & friends. Many elders in his family, who have lesser immunity, may die because of his act!!! Take proper precaution before transporting any Covid patients. Covid virus don't understand our religion drama, it will infect everyone, who takes off their guard!!!

Good initiative to allay fears created by media and some rumours. Dr Raju never wore a mask, gloves or sanitizer but treating around 200 patients every day from last one year, He touches them which takes away their fear and they get healed by 80%. Again Dr Biswaroop's NICE team is treating 1200 covid positive patients in Ahmednagar, Maharashtra without any of the fear causing protocols without any medicines but their time tested diet. All the patients get well within a week and leave the camp without paying any money thanks to the team members and Maharashtra govt which gave permission to treat these patients which is hurting many medical mafias and exposing their pandemic hoax.

May God protect and save Ansar from the hazard of getting infected and getting prosecuted - for having taken the risk for a good cause...though against the protocol...

Hats off Mr. Ansar Ahmed for your selfless service , but remember your safety is also important. May God bless you. It seems many patients may be reluctant to get admitted to the hospital for the fear organ removal . The fake news of organ removal is being spread in the social media to create unnecessary fear in the public. I am very much sure that in this pandemic season nobody will do such acts.
