Karnataka records 32,218 new coronavirus cases, 353 deaths in single day

Bengaluru, May 21: Karnataka on Friday, May 21, registered 32,218 new coronavirus cases.

As per the bulletin released by the state health department, the active cases in the state stand at 5,14,238. Bengaluru Urban reported 9,591 cases in a single day.

As many as 353 deaths due to coronavirus were reported on Friday, with Bengaluru Urban recording 129 deaths and Ballari 23. With this, the toll so far has risen to 24,207.

The state recorded 52,581 discharges from hospitals, taking the total discharges so far to 18,29,276.

So far, Karnataka has seen 23,67,742 positive cases since the start of the pandemic in March 2020.

The positivity rate for the day stands at 24.22%, while the case fatality rate for the day is 1.09%.

As many as 1,18,00,761 people have received vaccination so far.

    National disaster ! Any ways now the government is on full alert and medical staff are working round the clock. Public can follow all the precautions and limit mixing publiclt. MP Shoba must issue a statement now on the present trend. Let her point a finger at CM if she has guts .
