Experts feel that people living in city areas feel anxious when the lockdown will be withdrawn. The infection which has soared in rural areas might enter city areas again as people from rural areas will migrate to city areas in search of employment if lockdown is revoked.
Chief secretary Ravikumar has informed the high-level officers that he will appraise these points to CM and it is almost certain that the lockdown will be extended till June 7.
Ravikumar is going to discuss the inputs given by the high-level committee with the CM on the evening of Friday, May 21 and a final decision will be arrived at after considering the pros and cons of extending the lockdown.
