May 20: Dakshina Kannada reports 926 fresh corona cases, 812 in Udupi; 13 deaths in twin districts

Mangaluru/Udupi, May 21: As per the Dakshina Kannada health bulletin the district reported 926 fresh coronavirus cases on Thursday. The alarming rise in the number of new cases has pushed the total number of positive cases to 67,663. This further has raised the number of active cases to 10,707.

A total of 817,087 samples have been tested. Out of which 749424 are negative.

As many as 993 people were discharged on Thursday, taking the total number of recoveries to 56118.

A total of 838 deaths have occurred so far, including eight on Thursday.

Around Rs 57,91,030 in fines have collected for 55,460 mask violations in the district.

Udupi

The coronavirus tally in the district has risen to 50,048 including 812 fresh cases on Thursday. Out of these, 6335 cases are currently active.

Over 556,786 samples have been tested so far.

As many as 914 patients were discharged on Thursday. The total number of recoveries has climbed to 43,427.

A total of 286 deaths have occurred so far, including five on Thursday.
