Patients with symptoms of fever, cough cannot be treated locally, warns Udupi DC

Daijiworld Media Network – Udupi (JD)

Udupi, May 20: The district deputy commissioner G Jagdeesha has warned the private doctors of strict action if they are found treating symptomatic coronavirus patients locally, without subjecting them to mandatory tests.

“The number of corona-positive people is increasing in the district. It has been observed that corona-infected persons are being hospitalized at the last moment. The public initially visit the local clinic or the doctor and take over-the-counter medicines for fever, cold, and cough etc. which are symptoms of coronavirus. When the situation does not get better they come to hospitals where it is difficult to treat their critical conditions. This leads to deaths of people,” the DC said in a press release.

"It is advisable to get tested for coronavirus if symptoms are detected initially. At such a point, it is easy to give treatment if the infection is detected early on as the chances of recovery are high. The symptoms get severe if the proper medication is not done as OTC tablets only give temporary relief," he stated in the press release.

"Henceforth if any patient with coronavirus symptoms is found, the doctors should ensure that such patients get tested for the disease. If any cases are treated locally and the patient dies after reaching the critical stage strict action will be taken against the doctors," the DC warned.

You don't provide medicines while being tested. Your reports come after 5 days in some cases. Only after that medicines are given. What should the patient do till that time?? Any idea Mr. DC?

Mr DC, do you have beds to treat all covid patients in Udupi? Have you arranged to vaccinate all citizens of Udupi? The answer is NO. Stop your illogical thinking please Mr DC. Let the doctors treat patients with mild symptoms and fever and give medicine for 3-5 days. If fever don't reduce then let them go to hospitals. Please don't over crowd the hospitals and bring a situation where no one gets treatment and there will be total disaster.

Administration is repeatedly making mistakes. Remember Doctors are front line warriors . Covid phase- I, illogically admn has made private practitioners and family doctors to shut clinics making a mad rush at Govt hospitals creating panic. Atleast now they are giving service. Don't create fear in their minds instead facilitate regular supply of vaccines and other things which are required for the containment of the virus

DC is 100% right here. Many doctors do not even suggest RTPCR and pathology tests. So many patients are showing zero symptoms in stage 1 ( First 6 days) and then suddenly becoming critical. It's very important to ascertain whether the patient has got or in the process of getting Vivid Pneumonia. Covid Pneumonia can't be treated at home. All those who are commenting saying DC is wrong may not have a personal experience of themselves or a close family member going through it.

85% corona patients doesn’t need hospital admission as per expert corona doctors. Only 15% need hospital care. Only 5% need ventilator support. shortage of beds was the result of such ill informed decisions of Administration. Leave the treatment to Doctors; the Administration should concentrate on increasing and improving facilities.

D C is more knowledgeable than DOCTORS! Symptoms ascribed to corona are same as common cold and influenza like illnesses. The test kit that wasn't invented to test for covid doesn't prove they have any disease. Another invasive order by some bureaucrat to take away freedom of people and right of people to get treatment from professionals of their choice. There is no treatment for corona in any allopathic hospitals other than symptomatic. The mismanagement of medical system causing deaths more than the infection itself. Over use and experimental administration of medicines which cause adverse drug reactions killed more people than viruses till today. Time for people to get control back from draconian measures implemented in the garb of containment of a common cold and influenza like illnesses dubbed as pandemic.
