Udupi, May 17: People who have tested positive for coronavirus should compulsorily stay isolated in their homes, ordered the district deputy commissioner G Jagadeesh.
"If a corona-positive person is seen flouting home quarantine rule, a criminal case will be filed against them," warned the DC.
Through a video mesage to the public, the DC said, "Rate of positivity is constantly increasing in our district. It has also increased in rural areas. Meanwhile, it has also come to my notice that many people who have tested positive are violating home quarantine rules. The district administration has received several complaints in this regard. Criminal cases will be filed against such persons."
He further stated that such violators will be shifted to Covid Care Centre. "There are three Covid Care Centres in taluk level. If corona-positive people do not have proper facilities for home isolation they can enroll themselves in Covid Care Center. The district administration will take care of their health," he assured.
