May 14: Dakshina Kannada reports 1215 fresh corona cases, 1220 in Udupi; 6 deaths in twin districts

Mangaluru/Udupi, May 14: The district of Dakshina Kannada, on Friday, reported 1215 positive cases. The total positive cases reported so far are 61,570.

The bulletin from the health department stated that on Friday as many as 881 patients have been discharged from the hospital. The total number of patients discharged from hospitals are 47,865.

A total of 7,98,494 samples have been tested of which 7,36,924 are negative. The district has 12,900 active cases.

The total death toll has risen to 805, including three on Thursday.

The officials have collected Rs 56,73,230 in fines so far for 54,309 mask violations.

Udupi

As per the health bulletin, Udupi has reported 1220 positive cases on Friday. The total number of infected patients is 44,848.

As of Friday, 706 patients have discharged from the hospital. The total number of patients discharged are 36,975.

A total of 5,42,487 samples have been tested. The total active cases 7,619 in the district. The total death toll due to Covid-19 in the district is 254, including three on Friday.
