Bantwal, May 14: “Do not listen to false propaganda regarding Covid vaccination,” said Bantwal MLA Rajesh Naik.
Speaking in the task force committee meeting held at the Mani gram panchayat office on Thursday, he expressed appreciation for the way the task force committee worked regarding vaccination and Covid control. “Work with caution till the virus is completely eradicated. People arriving from outside the districts should compulsorily undergo quarantine,” he directed the officials.
Bantwal tahsildar Rashmi S R said that those who want to get vaccinated should register online in advance. “Do not worry about scarcity. Everybody will be vaccinated,” she said.
Taluk panchayat EO Rajanna said that the task force emphasizes following Covid guidelines and Covid management. “Gram panchayat elected representatives and officials should work together.” He asked PDOs to provide ASHA workers working in panchayat limits masks, sanitisers and umbrellas.
“12 active cases have been identified in Mani gram panchayat limits, of which three have recovered. Nine active cases among them are under treatment,” said medical officer Dr Shashikala.
