May 13: Dakshina Kannada reports 812 fresh corona cases, 892 in Udupi; 11 deaths in twin districts

Mangaluru/Udupi, May 13: The district of Dakshina Kannada, on Thursday, reported 812 positive cases. The total positive cases reported so far are 60,355.

The bulletin from the health department stated that on Thursday as many as 911 patients have been discharged from the hospital. The total number of patients discharged from hospitals are 46,984.

A total of 7,95,317 samples have been tested of which 7,34,962 are negative. The district has 12,569 active cases.

The total death toll has risen to 802, including five on Wednesday.

The officials have collected Rs 56,53,730 in fines so far for 53,870 mask violations.

Udupi

As per the health bulletin, Udupi has reported 892 positive cases on Thursday. The total number of infected patients is 43,628

As of Thursday, 730 patients have discharged from the hospital. The total number of patients discharged are 36,269.

A total of 5,39,392 samples have been tested. The total active cases 7,108 in the district.

The total death toll due to Covid-19 in the district is 251, including six on Thursday.
