Bengaluru, May 13: BJP national chief secretary C T Ravi said that judges are not omniscient. This statement comes in the wake of the frustration put out by union minister D V Sadananda Gowda against the court who said, “If vaccine is not produced, should we hang ourselves?”
Ravi interrupted the press conference that was held in the city and expressed his disappointment against the high court (HC) judges. He said, “Judges are not omniscient. The union government has said that it will work based on the report provided by the experts. The Supreme Court also has agreed to this.”
Backing Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the Covid handling issue, Ravi said, “Death is enjoying sadistic pleasure through pandemic. Let all compare the number of death Vs the population of overseas counties and that of India. Narendra Modi is not the PM of Italy. We should blame the China virus for the death and agony that is ruining our country and not PM Modi.”
Ravi said that he agrees that the preparation of India is not enough in the wake of the sudden rise of Covid second wave infections.
Speaking in the press conference, union minister D V Sadananda Gowda said, “Till Wednesday, May 12, Rs 303.63 crore grant is given to Karnataka from PM Cares Fund. This is cash aid in addition to supply of equipment and vaccine.”
Announcing good news to the farmers of the state, Gowda said, “The price of fertilizer will not be increased. There was enough stock of fertilizer in the country. I asked the manufacturers not to increase the price of fertilizer in the country just because the rate has gone up in the international market. Some agreed, some returned. This is their business. We will see that the rate of fertilizer is not increased.”
