Mangaluru: Cremation of Covid victims in all 11 graveyards in city free of cost

Daijiworld Media Network - Mangaluru (SP)

Mangaluru, May 13: City corporation commissioner, Akshy Sridhar, said that orders have been issued to perform the funerals of those who die of coronavirus within the city limits free of cost in all the 11 crematoriums located within the city corporation limits.

He said that the citizens can take the mortal remains of the deceased persons to any one the crematoriums that is convenient for them and get the funeral done free of cost. "This clarification has been given as it is observed recently that the people have been utilizing the services of only a few specific graveyards," he added.

The deluge of bodies is just a trailer... Covid19 virus, has now been transmitted, into the remotest rural hinterlands, where there is not an iota of hospital infrastructures. With an insignificant ratio of 0•55 beds for 1000 citizens, the brazen neglect, by the state, for more then 72 years, have resulted in this catastrophic, ghoulish nightmare !!!!

Government must try different way of conducting last rights otherwise more problems may crop up. I think Modi will take sanyas from political life. Enough is enough. God has finally pulled the string to break the expansionim of one man show business. In future act collectively and neber ever entertain self is most able attitude.

This will provide some relief to people. And also, please put Modi’s picture on the death certificates just as it’s in the vaccination certificates.

In India unlike other countries there is a queue for ordinary people for every other service. Now even after death dead bodies have to wait in a queue and their turn for cremation ceremony. Thanks to the government.

One of my covid patient relatives on ventilator in Udupi pvt hospital for about a week with no improvement as of now. Yesturday hospital forward bill about Rs4 to settle within stipulated period and told from now on patient will be charged about 35 to 40 thousand per day... The family of the patient with no source of income looking for help. It is beyond one's understanding how these pvt hospitals looting the people regardless of rich and poor.

This COW government surely don't care for the living. Reduced the food package, increased the fuel price, clamped the lock down, vehicle seized, no ration, no food. They actually want all the useless common people to die and for those who die get free that they promised. They are getting free cremation now, they also get acche din as a result. Tomorrow, government might tell us, the living, that those who are dead got 15 lacs into their accounts abode, they also seen all the black money come back to India.

This suggestion was given by the congress in press conference, so free of charge cremation, hospital bill the deceased family will pay, no one has the guts to ask the hospitals why are you charging lakhs of rupees, most of the hospitals are owned by politicians and their cronies.

At least something free from this COW government. Is this only for blind bhakths or for all?? What a shame!! Free cremation and free breakfast for 2 who comes for cremation. In the rest of the world, Governments gives free food, free transportation (they hike petrol here, forget about free), fee medical facility, pause of loan interest and many more, but here we are with Cow Government with full of uneducated ministers.

They reduced free ration, sold Vaccine to othwr countries (before keeping enough stock for our Indian), increased cost of all essentials, didn't prepare medical infrastructure (oxygen, icu, medicines) due to their carelessness. People have to die due to their such negligence. I think they are now providing free crematorium use here because they are afraid that people may throw the deadbodies onto the Netravati river as they did in UP and Bihar. Kuch bhi ho, Ayega Tho Modi Hi. Aur aana bhi chahihe, until these bhatks use their brain (if they still have it).
