Mangaluru, Ma 13: Well-known Konkani singer, comedian, drama writer and director, Felix Lasrado, popularly known as Felix Permannur, passed away on Wednesday May 13. He was 52.
Felix, who started to sing at the age of 17, rendered his voice for musical albums of ‘Maand Sobhann’ and devotional albums of Fr Walter D’Souza, Fr Ronald Serrao, Fr Clement and others. He was awarded Konkani Yuva Puraskar from Konkani Natak Sabha, Mangaluru.
He was the regular performer in musical Nites which were organized all around Mangaluru for a decade. Apart from singing, he was also known for his contemporary comedy concepts. Being a talented comedian, he gained more popularity in the acting field too.
He was awarded the best-supporting actor award in a drama festival organized by Daiji Dubai.
Felix also wrote songs for many stage plays. The song ‘Kesar Kalo’ made him one of the finest voices in the Konkani world.
