Bantwal, May 12: “Covid management has become difficult due to the lack of co-operation from people, the health department and the government. In these circumstances the village level task force committee should work in a more efficient manner,” said Bantwal MLA Rajesh Naik.
He was speaking in the task force committee meeting held at Badagabellur gram panchayat on Wednesday. “There are 24 active cases in the gram panchayat limits. 22 of them are getting treated at their residences and two are admitted to the hospital. The gram panchayat should be made free of infections soon. The health department workers should work efficiently. The task force committee should provide support to them. As per government orders, those who have to be vaccinated should register their names online,” he said.
Bantwal tahsildar Rashmi SR said that ration shops are permitted to conduct business till 2 pm. “Police should not stop them,” she said. Taluk panchayat EO Rajanna asked all the members of the panchayat to get involved.
