Bengaluru: CET 2021 for professional courses put off to Aug 28-29

Bengaluru, May 12: The Common Entrance Test 2021 for admission to professional Engineering and Medical Courses in Karnataka has been postponed to August 28 and 29 this year.

The Kannada language test for non-Kannadigas will be conducted on August 30.

The test was originally scheduled to be held on July 7 and 8 with the Kannada language test scheduled to be held on July 9 this year.

The continued spike in the Covid second wave infections across Karnataka has led to the postponement.

The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA,) which conducts the CET, has announced that the CET 2021 has been postponed due to the postponement of the 2021 annual second Pre-University Examination and also keeping in mind the rising number of Covid-19 cases in the state.

KEA, has in an official press release, stated that for the latest updates, candidates must remain in touch with the KEA website.
