Mangaluru, May 12: The Bajpe police, on Tuesday May 11, arrested two persons who were found to be transporting three stolen cows in an auto rickshaw. The three cows were tied up in a violent way in the three-wheeler.
The arrested persons have been identified as Mohammad Irfan (27) and Siddiqulla Akbar (32).
They had stolen these cows. Clothes were found to have been stuffed into the mouths of the cows and their hooves were tied together.

A team of police from Bajpe station arrested the two at Kate Kambla near Kompadavu cow shelter when the cows were being taken by that route. The cows and the auto rickshaw have been confiscated.
In the meanwhile, Shankar, Akhil, Ismail and Nissar, who were coming in two-wheelers in the form of escorts, succeeded in escaping from the spot.
