May 11: Dakshina Kannada reports 915 fresh corona cases, 1084 in Udupi; 8 deaths in twin districts

Mangaluru/Udupi, May 11: The district of Dakshina Kannada, on Tuesday, reported 915 positive cases. The total positive cases reported so far are 58,466.

The bulletin from the health department stated that on Monday as many as 1024 patients have been discharged from the hospital. The total number of patients discharged from hospitals are 45,043.

A total of 786,739 samples have been tested of which 728,273 are negative.

The district has 12,628 active cases. The total death toll has risen to 795, including five on Tuesday.

The officials have collected Rs 55,91,730 in fines so far for 53,568 mask violations.

Udupi

As per the health bulletin, Udupi has reported 1084 positive cases on Tuesday. The total number of infected patients is 41,817.

As of Tuesday 787 patients have discharged from the hospital. The total number of patients discharged are 34,702.

A total of 534,106 samples have been tested. The total active cases 6,876 in the district.

The total death toll due to Covid-19 in the district is 239, including three on Tuesday.
