Karnataka reports over 47,000 new corona cases, 482 deaths in a day

Bengaluru, May 8: The state continued to register huge number of fresh coronavirus cases on Saturday May 8.

As per the health bulletin released by the state health department, the positive cases in the state rose to 47,563. Bengaluru Urban alone reported a huge number of 21,534 cases on Saturday alone.

As many as 482 deaths due to coronavirus were reported on Saturday, with Bengaluru Urban recording 285 deaths and Ballari 25. With this, the toll so far has risen to 18,286.

Over 34,881 people were discharged from hospitals on Saturday, taking the total recoveries so far to 13,19,301.

So far, Karnataka has seen 18,86,448 positive cases so far.

The total number of active cases in the state are 5,48,841.

The positivity rate for the day stands at 30.28%, while the case fatality rate for the day is 1.01%. A total of 1,57,027 samples were tested between Friday and Saturday.

As many as 1,04,65,941 people have received vaccination so far in Karnataka.

    Karnataka is giving true figures and doing best to break the corona spreading. But Gujarat and Uttar Pradesh are giving less figures which is dangerous policy like China,Iran and Pakistan.
