Mangaluru, May 7: Former minister Abhayachandra Jain said, "As the country is facing the problem due to the pandemic, people are seen helping one another. But, MP Tejasvi Surya has exposed his communal mentality by giving communal overtones to a bed allocation scandal in the city and divide the society. Congress severely condemns this."

Speaking during the press meet at Congress Bhavan on Friday, May 7, Abhaychandra Jain said, "MP Tejasvi Surya has insulted the democratic system of the country by reading out 17 names of BBMP war room staff. He has given it a communal angle with regard to bed allotting scandal at a press meet held along with MLA Sathish Reddy."

"As cases of Covid-19 are spiking in the country, people are being fooled in the name of lockdown. The country is facing financial instability. The programmes like the Five-Year plans of Nehru, nationalisation of banks by Indira Gandhi made the economy of the country strong. When Manmohan Singh was the PM, he had waived Rs 80,000 crore loans of farmers," said the former minister.

Book a criminal case against MP Tejasvi: Mithun Rai

Congress leader Mithun Rai said that the police should book a suo motu case against Tejasvi Surya for giving statements and disrupting communal harmony in the society.

Also, Satish Reddy who facing an accusation in bed blocking scam should be booked under criminal charges, Mithun Rai said. The government of the district administration wants to impose a lockdown, but before that, they should also provide essential commodities to those in need.

Congress leader, Mahabhala Marla, Praveen Chandra Alva, AC Vinayaraj, and others were present during the press meet.

The Congress has to immediately appoint Mamata Didi as their leader at National Level. She is the only one in the opposition to steer the grand old party from heading towards a dissastarous end. The recent elections results have made it clear. The current Cong is lacking a good leader to whom the whole party can look upto. Mamata also will be very strict with the workers and wont tolerate nonsence from her party cadres as well. All these type of activities that sends wrong signals will be stopped.

Press conferences and online bashing , Is there anything else we can expect? . Nothing! Just a ploy to be in news. No wonder people are distancing the Bhaima Congress and the Sanghi BJP. Both are 2 faces of the same coin. Regional parties are performing and faring much better.

Since 2014 People elect their candidates looking at pied piper.... During the need of the hour pied piper goes missing along with the elected representatives. Hope people realize their mistake soon and vote your local candidates carefully.

the problem with Congress party is, they all have become part time politicians from top to bottom, the party itself has become "begani shaadi mein abdulla deewana", instead of celebrating others poll victories in the country, the grand old party should focus on self reinforcement and work for the nation, Jai Hind
