Mangaluru, May 7: Former minister Abhayachandra Jain said, "As the country is facing the problem due to the pandemic, people are seen helping one another. But, MP Tejasvi Surya has exposed his communal mentality by giving communal overtones to a bed allocation scandal in the city and divide the society. Congress severely condemns this."
Speaking during the press meet at Congress Bhavan on Friday, May 7, Abhaychandra Jain said, "MP Tejasvi Surya has insulted the democratic system of the country by reading out 17 names of BBMP war room staff. He has given it a communal angle with regard to bed allotting scandal at a press meet held along with MLA Sathish Reddy."
"As cases of Covid-19 are spiking in the country, people are being fooled in the name of lockdown. The country is facing financial instability. The programmes like the Five-Year plans of Nehru, nationalisation of banks by Indira Gandhi made the economy of the country strong. When Manmohan Singh was the PM, he had waived Rs 80,000 crore loans of farmers," said the former minister.
