Bengaluru, May 6: The CD case which had threatened to rock the political stature of former minister, Ramesh Jarkiholi, which had created a sensation in the state, had been assigned to backburner as the second wave of coronavirus infection hit the headlines and the officials probing the case got busy with other duties. The case against Jarkiholi has again come to the fore after a brief lull.
In a letter addressed to the city police commissioner, Kamal Pant, the lady has made some serious allegations against the Gokak strongman. She had written another letter containing similar allegations sometime back. She alleged that Ramesh Jarkiholi has been offering lures to her advocates, Soorya Mukundaraj and Jagadish Kumar. She said that Jarkiholi has been trying to destroy evidence and offered her advocates money amounting to crores of rupees. She has demanded for the immediate arrest of Ramesh Jarkiholi.
She said that Amarnath, friend of Ramesh Jarkiholi's son, is made to make the phone calls making offer running into crores of rupees in exchange for allowing Jarkiholi to go scot-free. "WhatsApp calls are also being made. Whenever the advocates threaten to bring this to the notice of the investigating officer, the calls are snapped. "During the last two weeks, crores of rupees was offered to convince the advocates to spare Jarkiholi,” she stated in the letter.
