Bengaluru, May 5: Home and law and parliamentary affairs minister Basavaraj Bommai has promised to release daily bulletins on the availability of beds for Covid patients in Bengaluru and other parts of the state on the model of daily health bulletins that are being issued.

The minister, who visited the Karnataka War Room in the Arogya Soudha on Wednesday, told reporters that the state government is keen to set right the allotment of beds for Covid patients in view of the complaints against the alleged corruption in the allotments.

Bommai was accompanied by revenue minister R Ashok and minister Aravind Limbavali during the inspection of the war room.

"We will devise a foolproof system to inform the people about the availability of beds on a daily basis,’’ he said adding: "This system will bring about transparency in the allotment of beds.’’
