Udupi, May 4: A general store is said to have been indulged in the sale of liquor illegally during the lockdown.

The store in question is Durga General Store in Hengavalli village of Belve, Kundapur. The owner of the store identified as Sudhakar Naik was caught in the act by the locals.

Liquor worth several lacs of rupees was also found in his godown.

Locals allege that the police station failed to take action in spite of repeated complaints against Naik.

They even expressed anguish over the indifference of the district administration in this matter.
