Udupi: Oxygen unit with capacity of filling 100 cylinders to be functional soon

Udupi, May 4: Preparations have been made to construct a new oxygen unit in the district to prevent a shortage in the supply of the oxygen necessary in the treatment of Covid patients.

Spot verification for the same was done on Tuesday, May 4 by district MLA Raghupati Bhat along with the officials of district administration.

The oxygen unit will start working soon. It will have a capacity of filling 100 cylinders.

DC G Jagadeesh, district health officer, Dr Sudhir Chandra Sooda, district surgeon, Dr Madhusudhan Nayak, additional DC, Sadashiva Prabhu and Covid nodal officer, Dr Prashanth Bhat were present.

Present government total failure and busy with propaganda , At least andh chaddi bakts can now realize the facts and say one word "thanks" to these countries

    Jossey S Mumbai,now you have to forget about these lacs and think first let to live us with their programms .Hiding medicines vaccines ,oxygen suppose when we fall sick.Just think how many people died when oxygen was not there.corruption even when a patient struggles on and for a bed and oxygen,medicines .vaccines.we can live without his lacs.we want to live our left few days.They are bothered now about their election Ram Mandir ,and Goshalas.Not bothered about you and me.

    All know in their mind They begged us to wear masks maintain Covid protocol, Fell to our feet to get vaccinated but we didnt. Now we are in ques outside hospitals & vaccination centers. Although 70% did 30% spoiled the show

    There us acute sever shortage of Empty Cylinders now Please see that all hospitals will have inhouse piped central oxygen supply All major cylinder makers EKC ,RAMA,EURO out of STOCK I need 60 empty cylinders urgently to set up a Covid hospital not getting yet.Central supply system will take atleast 2 weeks .But permanent solution.I am going for it now as there is no way out

    May be ONGC should think of the possibility of modifying , cleaning, repainting and using cooking gas cylinders for oxygen. The situation is absolutely desperate. Millions are dying , and once national lockdown comes up no one will know the fate of people especially in rural areas.

    Skid mounted PSA oxygen plants are available which can be put into operation quickly within hours. Many plants have been imported for meeting the emergency oxygen demand. This plant in the report is also PSA plant. What you are talking about is cryogenic plant producing liquid oxygen products which will take at least a year to construct. This is just to clarify the issue.

    What done by Congress in last 70 years? Do you know that 10000 tons per day of medical oxygen diverted from steel and other plants to tide over the current crisis. Please note that all those plants were built prior to 2014. Imagine our plight now had those oxygen plants were not there in place.
