Bengaluru, May 4: Examinations of second PU are postponed in the wake of the rising Covid second wave infections in the state.
The exams were scheduled to be held from May 24 to June 16. Education minister Suresh Kumar has taken out an order in this regard. In a statement Suresh Kumar said, “The second PU exams were scheduled to be held from May 24 to June 16. Around seven lac students had to write the examination.

“However, the Covid second wave infections are increasing in the state at an alarming rate and a situation of panic is created. So it is opined that it is not right to hold examination snow. So the exams are postponed. Next dates of examinations is not yet decided. It will be announced at least 15 to 20 days prior to the examinations,” he said.
Preparatory exams are already postponed. Opinion of principals, lecturers and parents was sought in this regard. As the officials who had to do the vigilance duty during the examinations are on Covid duty and the students have left to their native places, the decision of postponing the examinations was taken.
