Bengaluru, May 3: Home minister Basavaraj Bommai on Monday launched the State Fire Force and Emergency Services for spraying chemicals in the Covid infected areas in view of the surge in the second wave of the pandemic.

The State Fire Force and Emergency Services had organized the programme near the Town Hall.

A similar programme for spraying chemicals had been conducted in the Covid infected areas during the first wave. It is being carried out in heavily populated areas as the chances of spreading the virus was more in such areas.

The State Fire Force and Emergency Services has arranged 12 big vehicles for spraying the chemicals throughout the State. In areas where access to the bigger vehicles is not possible, smaller vehicles will be used, the minister said.

Karnataka State Fire Force and Emergency Services director-general of police, Amar Kumar Pande and other senior officials were present.

100% unscientific and useless exercise! I am surprised who gives permission for such nonsense? It has been proven to do more harm to nature and humans than eradicate the virus. Purely looks like a money making scam. Please stop this!!!

What are the chemicals that they are spraying, are they toxic to humans? Of course they will not kill the virus, but humans should not be harmed.

Yes..Corona virus which is less than .01 micron will wait for you until you spray? How much area will you cover, how many times will you spray, how many days? What chemicals are being sprayed? Are they safe enough?

Rightly pointed, I had raised the same points last year too, Viruses are airborne & sunshine can neutralize them so no need for spraying any chemicals which are hazardous for the nature which serves no purpose. According to one scientist the very use of pesticides & herbicides causes the bacteria in stress to release viruses into atmosphere & we can see more deaths have occurred in those areas which were heavily polluted & not in villages. In Brazil there were incidence of Zika viral infections affecting only babies in the womb, but according to some scientists their unhygienic living standards & malnutrition caused the condition & to cover that failure a theory was floated & more pesticides were sprayed in those areas to kill mosquitoes where pregnant women too were living & we know the Thalidomide incidence, & Agent Orange sprayed in Vietnam still suffering genetical defects continuing even after many decades & generations after the war ended, the chemical is now in herbicides which are manufactured by Monsanto now bought by Bayer. But powerful industries will always create a research paper by paying scientists & create a virus story to coverup their misdeeds.
