Chamarajanagar, May 3: As they did not get oxygen on time, over 20 coronavirus patients being treated in the district hospital here lost their lives on a single day. Their ends came on the night of Sunday May 2. Sixteen among them died at night while four more breathed their last in the wee hours on Monday May 3.
As soon as they came to know of the shocking development, relatives of the deceased rushed to the district hospital. Their wails soon rent the air at the hospital.

Shortage of oxygen has given rise to a sense of worry and apprehension in the minds of coronavirus patients at the hospital.
Mysuru MP Pratap Simha, said that as soon as he came to know about the oxygen shortage, he has dispatched 50 jumbo oxygen cylinders to the hospital. It is said that the hospital is in need of 150 jumbo oxygen cylinders per day. Therefore, the patients are worried because of the oxygen shortage that can account for the lives of patients.
