Oxygen shortage claims over 20 Covid patients’ lives in a day at Chamarajanagar

Chamarajanagar, May 3: As they did not get oxygen on time, over 20 coronavirus patients being treated in the district hospital here lost their lives on a single day. Their ends came on the night of Sunday May 2. Sixteen among them died at night while four more breathed their last in the wee hours on Monday May 3.

As soon as they came to know of the shocking development, relatives of the deceased rushed to the district hospital. Their wails soon rent the air at the hospital.

Shortage of oxygen has given rise to a sense of worry and apprehension in the minds of coronavirus patients at the hospital.

Mysuru MP Pratap Simha, said that as soon as he came to know about the oxygen shortage, he has dispatched 50 jumbo oxygen cylinders to the hospital. It is said that the hospital is in need of 150 jumbo oxygen cylinders per day. Therefore, the patients are worried because of the oxygen shortage that can account for the lives of patients.

    Oh No.They did it again.Poiliticians were saying everything is ok .we have oxygen cylinders ,no lack of oxygen bla bla --were these cylinders empty?I ask the govt,where are all oxygen cylinders gone sent from foreign countrys,from France,USA ,Germany and England?even from Russia etc ,help was pouring .nothing mentioned except who got more votes.I feel with their familys.May they rest in Peace.How many people have to die still Hope some International committee will seek some report over this and findout what happened and where are these oxygen cylinders and breathing apparats are gone ?

    Where are all the oxygen gone..., The govt is hand in glove with private hospitals.., fail to supply adequate oxygen to govt hospital... coz.. may be only poor people are getting treated....!!!!

    If any development comes up then MP,MLA and all ruling politicians take credit for that. If any disaster occurs they blame IAS ,IPS officers and common bureaucrats will be held responsible. Why can't our MP , MLA'S can be transferred to UP, Bihar as a promotion?

    It is better that, govt. has to resign and sit at home if they can't manage as well as govt. hospital officials if they can't tell their grievances to the govt. Where is sule chackravarthi? who was saying Modi has all the information in his laptop which gives him all information of hospital activities. There is a limit for lies!

    Just couple of days back the so called Doctor Health Minister was bragging that everything is perfect in Karnataka and there is no short supply and people should not panic. Then what went wrong? 24 lives don't matter to this government, but it matters to their family members., for their little children, their friends..their relatives. Sack this doctor and initiate action on the relevant staff of the hospital. Heads should roll, else this will go on.

Everyone was questioning Government for not letting them to do business as usual. Now when infected why blame government. When patient are more then what hospitals can handle this is bound to happen. Only Request to people is " Please take this issue seriously. It is not the matter of getting cured, everyone can be cured provide they get right treatment at right time. During pandemic this is very unlikely mainly because shortage of medicine or other supplies including hospital beds" blaming Government or Hospitals will not save any life's. its our responsibility to take care of our self & our loved ones.

    You are ranting is pure nonsense. RT-PCR is the ONLY technique to quickly test for ANY virus else you have to do a culture growth technique which takes upto 14 days. Antigen test is a joke. Even Arnabs Republic TV cannot hide that many deaths.
