Chikkamagaluru, May 2: Chief minister B S Yediyurappa has appointed minister of ports and inland water transport and Sullia MLA S Angara as district in-charge minister of Chikkamagaluru.
The state government also appointed district in-charge ministers for Belagavi, Bagalakote, Bidar, Kolar and Kalaburagi districts on Sunday May 2.
While S Angara has been appointed district in-charge minister for Chikkamagaluru, deputy chief minister Govind Karjol has been made minister in-charge for Belagavi district, Umesh Katti for Bagalakote, Aravind Limbavali for Bidar, M T B Nagaraj for Kolar and Murugesh Nirani for Kalaburagi.
Gandasi Shivaram, K J George and Roshan Baig were district in-charge ministers of Chikkamagaluru during the previous Congress-JD(S) coalition government. C T Ravi functioned as the district in-charge for some time after it. As C T Ravi has been appointed BJP national chief secretary, he had resigned from the post of minister on November 5, 2020.
