Udupi, Aug 8: State Home and district- incharge minister Dr V S Acharya inaugurated the two-day state executive committee meeting of the Bharatiya Janata Party Minorities Morcha at Hotel Sharada International auditorium here on Saturday August 7.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that the people of the state have seen the developments during BJP administration and they are aware that it has highly contributed to the progress of the state in all means. But some people are trying to ruin the reputation of the party, he alleged.
He further said that BJP is striving hard to provide maximum support to the minorities from past two years. People need to understand the efforts put by the party workers and should back them, he urged.
BJP Minorities state president Dr N F Moizin Nizamuddhin also spoke on the occasion. MLA Raghupati Bhat, Kaup MLA Lalaji Mendon, Minorities Morcha district president Salim Ambagilu, state BJP Minorities Morcha secretary Abdul Akim and Udupi district BJP president Uday Kular Shetty among others were present. State Minorities Morcha secretary Gopinath Reddy proposed the vote of thanks.
55 office-bearers, executive committee members of the State unit, and 108 presidents and general secretaries of the morcha from all districts would be participating in the meeting. The deliberations would focus on the issues related to the welfare of minority communities. Seven committees had been formed for the smooth conduct of the meeting.
