Udupi: Woman threatens traffic cop after he pulls her over for talking on mobile phone while driving

Daijiworld Media Network - Udupi (HB/MS)

Udupi, May 1: In a shocking incident that took place on Saturday, May 1 in the city, a woman who was driving the car while speaking on her mobile, threatened the traffic sub inspector (SI), when he asked her to pull aside the vehicle and speak over the mobile.

SI Abdul Khader took the woman to task who was driving the car during lockdown time near Clock Tower in the city and asked her to park the car and speak over the phone and then drive. He also slapped a fine on her for the violation.

The woman, who was driving the car, accused the traffic SI of misusing his power and slapping the fine unnecessarily. In reply, SI Abdul said that he will not keep quiet if someone violates traffic rules, that too during Covid lockdown time.

The woman was made to pay the fine and warned by SI Abdul Khader.

The woman is a youth leader of a political party and also a very well-known social worker, it is gathered.

Booking a case against lady is a different issue. How many boys, youngstes even aged men talk on mobiles while driving two wheelers on road which is very dangerous to the lives of pedestrians and others riders. Take them into task. Why police are silent about taking action against them

She is taking undue advantage of her gender and political connections. The cop is speaking so politely. She would have filed a harassment case against the cop, if this incident wasn't recorded.

i have seen many situations, where these semiliterate women behaving in unacceptable manner with men on duty. Because of fear of possible accusations of misbehaviors by these women, the men on duty keep quite. bus conductor / driver / cab driver/ restaurant manager/ waiter/ delivery boys/ security person of apartments / office --- they all are under threat by semiliterate women in many situations. Yes, a fully educated are behaving properly & uneducated are also polite... its semiliterate people. what i want to tell you all is that, … if there is any silly complaint from a woman against a male, don't jump into conclusions & start abusing... wait, see & analyze properly....... men also have a heart, emotions !!!

Ego is the main reason to confront Police officer, It is common in India whenever traffic violator caught in India. She knows that she violated traffic rules. Unlike foreign countries India is giving least respect to police officers, That is, mainly because of corruption and misusing political power on police department by politicians

We have been recommending since years that body cam on police personnel & dash cam in police vehicles should be mandatorily part & parcel of job so that there is no room whatsoever for accusations. But roll call lobby is against this

When a Person stands on First Step of a Ladder and Falls while doing Circus, only breaks Hands. If that Person stands on the Top Step of that Ladder and does Circus and Falls, then Break the Back of Body. Same way this Lady would not have Behaved this Arrogant Way if She was common Person. Since She is a Youth Leader of Political Party , So She was showing Her Political Pride and lost Her dignity as Social Worker. Now let Her watch Public Opinion.

I fully agree lady has violated law. Normally Udupi police don’t harass Udupi citizens. In this case police also bit harsh. It’s police duty to fine violators , they should train them and make them professionals. They can speak gently, which you don’t see normally. This is not a big issue making it a national news.

Disrespect the govt officials on duty is not good provided that officials do their duty diligently. In this case this officer has done his job diligently and responsible ways. The lady should be paying the fine and officers should be suspending the drivers license for such offenders for few months may help. Most of the accidents happens use of mobile devices during drive.

Youth leader of a political party that means she has license to break all rules. Rules are only for common man and not for these politicians. India is being destroyed by these kind of politicians. God save our country from these criminals.
