Mangaluru, May 1: Police took quick action in the incident where a woman was seen throwing garbage over the fence of Netravati bridge. A video of the incident had gone viral on social media on Saturday May 1.
Kankanady police seized the car and filed a case responding to a complaint filed by senior health officer of Mangaluru City Corporation. The police have also requested the district magistrate to file case under Disaster management Act as the occupants of the car were not wearing masks.
It may be recalled, in the viral video, a lady was seen coming out of a car and hurling a plastic full of garbage over the fence into Netravati river. The video enraged netizens and many demanded the culprits to be booked.

Mangaluru, May 1: A video of a lady throwing garbage over the fence of Netravati bridge is going viral on social media.
In the said viral video, a lady is seen coming out of a car bearing registration number KA 03 NB 4648 and hurling a plastic full of garbage over the fence into Netravati river.
Earlier this year, NGOs had launched clean up drive with the theme ‘Namma Netravati Namma Javabdari’ and cleaned the trash alongside national highway 66. Noticing the noble cause, few organizations and other NGOs too have voluntarily joined hands for the same.
The video has enraged netizens and many have demanded the culprits to be booked. A few termed them as ‘non-civic’ citizens.
