Mangaluru, Apr 30: Hundreds of people were seen at the vaccination centers in the city here on Friday April 30.

Many people gathered in large numbers in front of Wenlock Hospital and Urban Health Care Center in Bejai to receive doses of anti-Covid vaccine.

The Covid-19 situation appears to have reached an alarming stage in Dakshina Kannada, with the district reporting its highest ever single-day spike of 1,175 positive cases on Thursday.

Hence, with the fear of a shortage in anti-Covid vaccine doses probably weighing on their minds and due panic, people are coming forward to receive the jab.

As there is intermittent supply of Covid vaccine, people are facing inconvenience in the district.

While many media outlets are spreading a fear psychosis , I thank DJW striking a balance by interviewing doctors like Dr. Kakkilaya who have not forgotten their oath and humanity. The interminable lines and the utter mismanagement is solely attributable to any govt. running the show. For all those baying for more govt. interference, you are getting what you asked for. Sadly, innocent, disadvantaged and physically feeble /challenged people are suffering. Socialism is the bane.

The govt talks about digital India .. that India .. this India ..start up .. smart city etc.... Now not to loose focus ... All that is required a registration centre and over phone get otp etc Inform date / time ... maybe an APP .. of course already experienced crash .... ———— Important Avoid Q .. more chances to get COVID while waiting to get vaccinated .... Care for elders & not wasting time endless waiting : who could be exposed to hazards :.../—- The Health dept / public health / MP / MLA /.etc other elected wards .. can ensure smooth operations over this vaccine program ... not too many .. maybe 10 ..in this task force team :.. NOW THERE IS A NEW CHALLENGE OF VACCINE SHORTAGE .... PUBLIC SHOULD BE INFORMED AND NOT KEPT IN DARK ——— Otherwise it will be FOOLING THE PUBLIC ..

In Bangalore, we live in a very large housing complex of Bangalore Development Authority. In the beginning of April, they arranged a camp in the complex, to give covid vaccines to the residents whoever wanted, at Rs 250. Now, we have got a notice from committee, to give our names for 1st or 2nd dose of whichever vaccine at Rs 1250 and they would come to our apartment and administer the vaccine. Rs 1250 includes vaccine price and convenience charges. How they are arranging when there is a shortage for public, we do not know, but many residents have given their names.

Are the vaccines genuine or fake.At one place 2 boys sold a fire extinguisher calling it a oxygen cylinder for Rs 10,000, fortunately they were caught later..Fake Remediesvir being sold is well known. Better get the jab after registering on the portal, take precautions until then ( and even after)...

When they gave in the camp, it was genuine since there was otp and after getting, all people got intimation from govt that they were given vaccine. Now also they said the hospital man would come with computer and a nurse from hospital. The president of the complex is a very highly placed govt employee.

Stop blaming the hospital staff and other officials near the hospitals. This mess is created by those people who just wake up in the morning and come for vaccination unregistered. Kindly book a slot online and then only visit the hospital.

Those who had booked a slot, had gone back yesterday according to reports so do not blame the people. There is no mention on Cowin about Covishield or Covaxin, those who had taken Covaxin earlier did not get it even after registering and taking an appointment.Vey bad planning by the authorities concerned.

before commenting.. you should have gine through the app n portal.. as it doesn't show any slots hence registration online isn't possible.. so people habd no other option to walk in the center straight away to minimize their health risk as soon as possible...

Joel, the reality in the world is not as we think. It is not plane or railway booking, that will be there on that day. I also registered my name, but I found to my dismay that the vaccine was out of stock before many days. Once you have registered, govt does guarantee you that the vaccine is kept there on your behalf.

Rush and crowds at hospitals and vaccination centers should be avoided at all costs.Apart from inconvenience it can spread the infection. Vaccination should be carried out at election voting centers but spread over 5-7 days. Some basic emergency medicines should be kept ready in case of adverse reaction. Only those who have registered get the jab. There can be many such rounds.( Like Lasika Shibir for dog vaccination- no offense intended for humans or dogs)

The agony is that when you log on for registration in the given portals it shows enough stocks at PHC's in D.K district but actually there is no stock. They will give you a mobile no. for enquiry which nobody attends.

I always has exposed the nexus or game plan of the industry & authorities play together to market their vacs. The second wave narrative & testing people is to create or enhance the market that has fallen as people found out since last year it doesn't affect majority of the people as much as 98%. Thanks to our media too in keeping up the ante of panic & fear along with face cover mandates to keep people within the sphere which deprives people of oxygen thereby raising their CO2 levels which reduces their immunity & Hypercapnia creates the same symptoms we've been informed as symptoms of the present plandemic.

What were these people doing earlier this month? I went in the first week of this month to Wenlock vaccination center there were no people only ten minutes waiting before the jab and 30 minutes for observation. It was super quick and I was repenting for not going earlier I would have finished my second dose by now. In fact people should go to the Government hospital since they have control on the vaccine.

Exactly same! Even i went earlier this month and got my vaccine with no issues. I didnt have to wait also. Most of these Are standing in line for registration which can be done at home. Only the 18-45 phase is having a difficulty with the app for 45 app works perfectly. Please register and come you will be done in a matter of 30 minutes

Yes i did too. Earlier i went to govt phc after registration in aarogya setu app. The whole process was smooth like butter no waiting nothing. But yes those who come without registering have a big line. Registration can be done at home itself why do all these come here and do it?!

Horrible Situation!!!!! When you vote uneducated thugs sycophants into power, this is the result!! Poor planning, poor execution and now those fellows in power are running around like headless chickens, not knowing what to do. Instead, like fools, the yare still negotiating with vaccine makers over "price" of the vaccines! Shame on you politicians!!!!

Along with politicians these are also acting like fools. Govt has clearly told that you cannot just walk in amd get vaccinated you need to register first look at all these people all are standing with aadhar card for registration which could have been done at home. The app works perfectly fine now. Everyone there has a smartphone why not register and come? During registration it says if where vaccine is available and where its not based on that people should come not just come like its central Market. We first need to learn to follow some systems we have never done that foe soonmany years and are still not.

One more trick is in the name of vaccination all are bound to apply for Aadhar Card..who are kept quiet earlier. Each and every person will bring into main stream gradually one by one. Left in caves also even not spared. Humhare Desh New Yug Ke Taraf Badega.
