Mangaluru, Apr 29: People were seen coming in large numbers to the market during the lockdown relaxation time from 6 am to 10 am on Thursday April 29.
The central market was seen crowded with people without maintaining social distance and wearing mask. In comparison to the first day of lockdown, on Thursday, people were out in the city for buying essentials in large numbers which made the market overcrowded.
None of the officials came forward to control the crowd and take measures.
The vehicular movement in Mangaluru was like a normal day in even in the lockdown period. There was traffic congestion is places like Nanthoor and Hampankatta.
It may be recalled, in a bid to curb spread of novel coronavirus cases in the state, the state government imposed a 14-day complete lockdown, which started from April 27 at 9 pm and will be in enforced till May 12.
